Title: Network Engineer
Location: Southfield, MI
Start date: ASAP
Duration: 6+ Months
Responsibilities:
currently has a 5 month assignment for a Network Engineer/Administrator located at the in Southfield, MI.
Individual needs to have a solid general understanding of routed IP's and firewalling.
- Additional skills and knowledge, including, but not limited to: Proficiency in interpreting, modifying, and troubleshooting Cisco firewall code (ASA flavor)
- Background in Cisco router, switch, and firewall configuration, including IPSec/SSL VPN's. CCNA or better certification is a real plus
- Background in Juniper security appliance (SA6000's) reverse proxy IVE (Instant Virtual Environment) for remote user SSL VPN is a real plus.
- Juniper JNCIS-SA certification would be ideal although it is not required.
The day-to-day activities can include, but are not limited to: Basic configuration/troubleshooting of Cisco firewalls, basic configuration/trouble shooting of Juniper IVE, basic troubleshooting diagnostics with end users issues on MS Windows XP/Windows 7 Operating System as it pertains to firewalls/remote access, system monitoring, end user requests and managing trouble/request tickets queues for the team
