Job Title : Software Quality Engineer.
Location: NEW YORK, NY
Duration: 6+ months contract

 

Need Mobile QA with some programming background.

 

Summary:
You will be responsible for performing a variety of Quality Engineering/Test tasks, including iOS/Android Unit/Functional testing, Test Case creation and Testing on iOS/Android Devices.The ideal candidate would be a strong iOS/Android quality/test engineer familiar with all aspects of the iOS/Android platform with an inclination towards testing and a keen interest in build and test automation.
Due to the rapidly changing team environment, strong communications and teamwork skills are a must.

 

Job Responsibilities:
Work with the engineering team in various tasks including planning, reviewing and perform application testing.
Be team champion for all things test related.
Analyze and decompose a complicated software system and design a solution to test this system.
Actively influencing product implementation and create and implement test plan and test cases.
Work closely with Development, Program Management, and Operations team to test and roll out app releases.

 

Minimum Job Qualifications:
Experience in iOS app testing especially on iPhone and iPad preferred.
Experience in Android app testing ? both Smartphone and Tablet - preferred.
Experience in Objective-C and general iOS development preferred. Candidates with strong C/C++ experience may apply.
Experience in Java and Android development preferred. Strong Candidates with strong Java experience may apply.
Experience with test automation tools such as UI Automation and using Instruments tool in testing CPU, Memory utilization and checking for memory leaks preferred.
Experience with Unit Test tools such as OCUnit and GHUnit a strong plus.
Experience with test automation tools such as Robotium, UI Automator preferred. Experience with JUnit a strong plus.
Solid effective communication skills (verbal and written)
Have experience with Web Services methodologies like JSON and REST. Experience with HTML5 and Javascript a plus.
Good analytical and problem solving skills.
Experience in working under a Agile/Scrum environment.
Experience with Continuous Integration environments, writing testable software and Test Driven Development a plus.
BS or MS with a Minimum 5 years of QA/SDET experience.
