Job Description:
Ø SAN Service Delivery Director
Ø Monitors new developments in storage and backup technologies, changes in business needs, and develops equipment strategy, and plans to strengthen and improve the computing services.
Ø Develops and recommends IT Operations policies for adoption and implementation.
Ø Manages development of storage and backup data center standards to reduce business operating costs
Ø Collaborates with other IT operations teams in the design and implementation of processes which enhance the stability of IT and business operations.
Ø Identifies opportunities for ongoing consolidation, virtualization, and efficiency based improvements.
Ø Evaluates and recommends tool sets in the storage and backup environment to provide operational support and monitoring.
Ø Evaluates and tracks capacity across the storage and backup environments and reports capacity and growth trends to leadership as required.
Ø Understands the importance of both the SOX compliance and SSEA16 audits. Insures that the team meets all requirements.
Ø Collaborate with Business Engineering teams to ensure the appropriate support model and costs are applied to all equipment and services.
Ø Solves problems related to installation, implementation, maintenance, and operations of client infrastructure
Qualifications/Skills/Experience :
Ø Storage - 8 year(s)
Ø 5+ years with either HDS, EMC, Commvault and Tivoli Storage Manager a plus
Ø Broad knowledge of complex IT infrastructure components (Networks, Data Centre's, End user devices, etc.)
Ø Understanding of key IT processes including Incident management, change management, configuration management, capacity management, service continuity management and troubleshooting
Ø Operations management
Ø Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, including presentation
Ø Organizational skills, time management
Ø People management including training and development, relationship building and negotiations
Ø Demonstrated leadership of Storage and Backup teams.
Ø Demonstrated strategic thinking in previous role.
