Competencies Required (Technical/Behavioral Competency)
Essentials
• 7+ years experience in leading, designing, architecting, developing, testing and implementing Business Intelligence solutions for large customers
• Excellent customer handling and relationship building skills
• Strong understanding of Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing concepts and experience with DWH design, architecting, development and maintenance using Teradata
• Must have working experience with the entire technology stack of Teradata appliance (Teradata 13.10, Viewpoint, SWS, TVI, BAR, SLES)
• Experience with Teradata Utilities – MLOAD, FLOAD, FEXP etc
• Strong SQL & Unix scripting skills (incl. Query tuning)
• Good understanding of Teradata Architecture
• Experience/Good understanding of DWH ETL process
• Ability to translate technical specifications into efficient ETL mappings in Teradata environment using Informatica
• Experience with global delivery model
• Excellent communication and presentation
• Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Industry knowledge in Finance, Sales & Marketing and/or Supply Chain functions
Desirable
• Ability to write technical specification document based on functional specifications
• Experience with any BI Reporting/Visualization tool like Cognos/Spotfire
• Life Sciences Domain understanding
• Teradata and Informatica certification
• Understanding of application implementation and enhancement estimations process

1. Technically lead, mentor and guide teams and ensure delivery
2. Engage with project teams during transition and delivery of support
3. Liaison with customers and service delivery teams (offshore)
4. Provide solution architecture and effort estimates, fixed price costing of enhancements
5. Establish BI frameworks , accelerators, design/development best practices and service offerings
6. Asset creation, maintenance and sharing (White papers, Project profiles, code snippets)
