Role /Responsibilities

 

Firmware Test Engineer

 

4+ years' experience in Embedded test SW development

 

Jr. Candidates with   smart meter experience can also be considered.

 

Duration – 6 months

 

 

 

To design, define test activities for firmware testing, in collaboration with key R&D stakeholders in development, product management and manufacturing. This person will understand firmware features & operations to exploit test cases that cause firmware failures and determine the scope and estimate the effort involved.

 

Work closely with Development and Manufacturing engineers to write test plans and procedures for verification of firmware and related performance.

 

Develop, execute and maintain test code in an R&D environment.

 

Debugging of test failures to determine the root causes and recommending a solution

 

 

 

Skills

 

Familiar with embedded system firmware development cycles, firmware quality assurance processes and regression test development

 

Test software development experience with <<

 

identify landis+gyr tool>> for test equipment control and data acquisition

 

Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.

 

Must have expertise with using software tools to analyze and graphically present data.

 

Good knowledge of digital hardware,

 

<<< DSP/MCU, ADC/DAC, Ethernet, RS232, GPIB >>Experience with smart meter systems, AMI is a plus

 

Should have experience writing programs to control test equipment, including

 

<<< identify landis+gyr equipments oscilloscopes, voltmeters, optical spectrum analyzers, optical power meters, tunable laser>>>Experienced user of bug tracking system and source code control software
