Job Description
Adobe LiveCycle Administrator
The Senior Adobe Developer/Administrator is responsible for providing administration, technical support, forms and application design, workflow design, and end-to-end client application support for the development and implementation of forms and other business processes on the Adobe Lifecycle suite of products. The Administrator may work individually, as a member of a project team, or as a lead member of an Adobe system support team.
The Administrator will have three primary responsibilities:
- The Administrator must work with Business Analysts, Project Managers, and potential client groups to identify appropriate business needs which may be satisfied by use of the Adobe LiveCycle suite of products, to include working the Adobe interfaces to other systems (API). Further, the Administrator must help quantify timeframes, work activities, and other development and implementation parameters that may impact project resources, costs, and timelines.
- Once an application has been identified, the Administrator must help design forms, develop processes, develop workflows, configure application specific permissions, provide Adobe scripting for exceptional or unusual requirements, and otherwise support the development, implementation, and testing of individual project applications on the Adobe suite. This development effort will include both front-end (native mode Adobe), Adobe action script, and back-end (API) interfaces to other applications and systems.
- The Administrator will help develop, implement, and document Adobe-based application development procedures and standards for use by Business Analysts and Project Managers within a central IT services team.
These procedures may include:
- How to optimize requirements gathering for Adobe-based application
- How to engage the Adobe technical support team
- How to design and create Adobe based business applications
- How to properly test Adobe-based applications
- How to initiate and execute changes, modifications, and upgrades to these applications
- Creating templates for these processes, or other job aids And other guides, processes, training materials, etc., as needed
The ideal candidate must have demonstrated in-depth knowledge and understanding of the Adobe LiveCycle suite of products, strong analysis skills, experience in designing, developing, implementing, testing, and modifying Adobe based business applications.
· At least three (3) years experience working with Adobe Interactive Forms,
· XML development, and end-to-end implementation experience;
· At least three (3) years experience working with health care related IT applications and systems;
· At least two (2) years experience implementing forms automation using
LiveCycle forms, version ES2 or higher;
· At least two (2) years experience performing analysis and design of
· LiveCycle forms integrated into a Service Oriented Application (SOA) based system;
· At least one (1) year experience serving as lead SME to application
developers using Adobe tools for development;
· Experience installing and configuring Adobe LiveCycle forms and
related-product components;
· At least two years experience with Adobe Action scripting
· Knowledge of business workflows and interactions among business
professionals
· Possession of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree from a U.S.
accredited university or college; and
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
*Desirable Qualifications: *
· Knowledge of IT operations;
· Knowledge of Java and .NET;
· Working experience with Flex SDK, Flex Action Script, Adobe Flash/Flex
Builder;
· Complete understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
processes and methodologies; and
· Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
Key responsibilities
Candidate shall perform all of the following: *
· Participate in Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions with SMEs,
· other IT project developers, business oriented-users and/or analysts, and IT management and staff to collect requirements for designing and
building Adobe LiveCycle forms;
· Development and documentation of Adobe forms shall include, but are not
limited to, all of the following:
· List of data attributes to be shown on forms;
· Mock-up forms (i.e., non-functional forms to document and validate how
business users [stakeholders] prefer forms to look-like); and
· Miscellaneous requirements such as security and usability requirements.
· Work with database administrators (DBAs), business-oriented users, and IT developers to create interactive Adobe forms capturing end-user content,which will be embedded into electronic tools and applications;
· Analyze and design Adobe LiveCycle forms as a part of a SOA based system;(e.g., expose LiveCycle forms functionality as web service[s]), document technical specifications on how Adobe LiveCycle forms interface[store/retrieve] with IBM / FileNET, etc.).
· The Adobe LiveCycle design model must include, but is not limited to, all of the following technical details:
· Infrastructure layout (i.e., server hardware and operating system);
· Adobe LiveCycle’s setup and configuration detail(s) on servers for
exposing SOA web services;
· Design details and specifications for custom created or configured Adobe components and forms; and
· Adobe LiveCycle, IBM/FileNET, and custom built forms and components
architecture
· Architecture shall exhibit system integration, distribution, and
deployment within infrastructure. .
· Implement and build LiveCycle forms as web services in accordance with
design model specifications;
· Coordinate the use by business areas of test scripts and procedures, and coordinate tests of Adobe forms generation and presentation;
· Create documentation for installation and configuration of Adobe
· LifeCycle forms for custom web services, and integration with IBM / FileNET
· Serve as point of contact for coordination, configuration, installation,and issue resolution of Adobe LiveCycle forms and/or related product components; and
· Provide Adobe LiveCycle written training materials for knowledge transfer to staff, and other stakeholders.
