Skills:

 

DB2 Informix, Tandem SQL DDBMS, Oracle, Teradata RDBMS, Sybase, SQL Server, Assembler, CICS, IMS, Network, Telecommunication, Applications, Security, Internet, Database, Wireless, Enterprise, Data Warehousing, Teradata RDBMS.
Minimum 5+ years experience in Oracle Server Database Management

Strong Unix OS (AIX preferred) and shell scripting skills.

Strong technical understanding of Oracle database (9i/10g,11g) internals, including RAC, Streams, Data Guard, RMAN, CRS and Grid.

Broad knowledge in various database backup and recovery methodology's, software and technologies.

Strong skills / understanding of database performance monitoring tools and recovery procedures.

Strong analytical skills in fault detection and resolution.

Strong skills in DBMS maintenance tools.

Team work orientation a must.

Strong people / customer skills a must.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Understanding of SAN technology and its integration with Oracle databases (EMC storage skills preferred).

Perl.

Foglight monitoring tools and its integration with Oracle databases.

Knowledge of Documentum and familiarity with its use of Oracle as a back end database.

Knowledge/proficiency in the administration of other database technologies (SQL, DB2).
