Job Description:
Advance Technical Writer
This position is responsible for developing documentation for Oracle Databases, SQL Server Databases and applications. This documentation will consist of approximately 35 DB/Applications and Standards for both Oracle and SQL Server.
Primary Responsibilities:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Articulate detail instructions in the resolution of L1 and L2 incidents, working closely with application and DBA technicians
• Ability to reiterate through documentation process until the receiving team agrees on content and clarity of the information
• Document procedures for Startup and shut down of Applications include databases, application and Web servers.
• Present information in a form and at a level suitable for the intended audience
• Good Knowledge of various generic business practices and process flow
• Experience in editing and procedural writing
Skills/Education Required:
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
• 5+ years of IT Technical Writing experience
• 1+ years of Oracle/SQL Server Technical Writing experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Communications, English or related fields
• Ability to as a team member in developing production support documentation for L1 and L2 recurring incidents
• Demonstrated ability to independently complete assigned tasks
• Solid communication skills: both written and verbal
• Solid experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, and Adobe Acrobat
• Ability to create Visio diagrams
Preferred:
• Experience in systems related to the Health Care industry
• Proven ability to create DB and Application related documentation
