SUMMARY:
Seeking a highly-motivated Senior Engineer with an extensive background in all areas of MS Exchange and AD (Clustering, monitoring, backup, replication, recovery, capacity planning, metrics/trending/traffic reporting, performance tuning, et al), responsible for the design, implementation and support of the entire Enterprise Messaging Environment, based on Microsoft Exchange Server 2003.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION:

Technical
* Possess expert-level skills in the design, development and implementation of advanced, enterprise-class AD and Exchange architectures, as well as associated business process analysis and documentation
* Ensure the reliability, performance, security, and high availability of the messaging server clusters and systems environment
* Be the point of escalation for complex AD and Exchange issues
* Have a solid understanding of the Windows kernel, registry, network services
* Work with tightly-aligned 2nd and 3rd level technicians to ensure world-class level of service
* Serve as a liaison to vendors (e.g.,MS, Symantec, et al) to facilitate problem resolution
* Define, prioritize, schedule, and monitor technical projects
* Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation
* Experience with build automation, patch management, automated deployments and packaging
* Experience with backup tools (e.g., Veritas NetBackup)
* Experience with email archiving (e.g., KVS Enterprise Vault, Legato EmailXtender)
* Experience with Microsoft Cluster Services
* Experience with MOM
* Experience with anti-spam, anti-virus products

* Have a hands-on, proactive attitude - an individual who truly enjoys complex technical challenges and takes pride in their work
* Serve as the subject-matter expert for the technologies above
* Be a self-motivated team player with a highly collaborative outlook
* Ready, willing and able to mentor junior personnel
* Able to set priorities and manage deadlines, project plans, work with other senior technologists, project managers, senior management, and power users
* Have experience in and be comfortable with demanding users in a high-pressure, 24x7 environment

ADDITIONAL MANDATORY SKILLS:

* SQL Server
* Blackberry Enterprise Server
* Strong familiarity with networking technologies: TCP/IP, DHCP, WINS, LDAP, DNS, SMTP, OWA, IMAP4, etc.
* Strong familiarity with storage technologies: SAN, NAS, CAS, EMC DMX, Clariion, Celera/NSX, Centera
* Familiarity with RedHat Linux

* VMWare
* Citrix
