Position: SAN Admin

The SAN Administrator will provide support in the initiation and migration of SAN infrastructure in an active/active collocated data center environment. A solid understanding of Clarion based SAN technology in the areas of technical analysis, design and support of these systems is required. Participation on projects is focused on enhancing the transition of existing technologies to optimized, high-availability platforms in a centralized environment using state of the art technologies, and industry best practices.
The SAN Administrator will be part of the Data Center Infrastructure Team responsible for effective design, configuration, bare metal installation, operation, and maintenance of systems to support datacenter operations. This individual will support continuing innovation within the infrastructure ensuring that storage hardware, replication technologies and related policies and procedures comply with and adhere to, highly available and redundant business critical systems.
Responsibilities
Design, Install/configure, and support servers, Storage Area Networks, etc.
Test new software releases, system upgrades, and software patches before deployment.
Monitor and maintain Datacenter environments. (HVAC/Power, etc.)
Monitor and maintain Virtual servers and storage requirements.
Introduce and integrate new technologies into existing data center environment.
Perform routine audits of systems and software.
Analyze system performance and make tuning adjustments for optimum performance.
Maintain configuration documentation and equipment inventory for all systems.
Troubleshoot any reported problems.
Experience/Skills
Windows Server experience (2003 / 2008 R2)
Clarion/Equalogix Storage Area Networking Technologies
VMware and Hyper-V
Active Directory
SQL Server (2005, 2008 R2)
System Center Operations Manager (SCOM)
System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
