JOB SUMMARY:
 
The Senior Database Administrator\Developer is responsible for T-SQL programming, trouble shooting, performance tuning, developing high-availability strategies, capacity planning, designing database solutions, backups and monitoring of business critical ecommerce production and non production MS SQL Database servers. The candidate will be working with ecommerce team reporting to ecommerce team lead. In addition the Senior Database Administrator will administer, maintain, develop and recommend policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the company's databases.
 
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
 
Development of SSIS packages, SSRS reports along with stored procedures, functions and view.
Optimizing and performance tuning on SQL Server transact sql codes.
Installation, configuration, Troubleshooting and maintenance of Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and 2008 R2.
Implementation of SQL Server in a multi-node Failover Cluster Configuration.
Physical database design and engineering to fit the server hardware.
Replication, log shipping, Multi-instance clusters, and other data transfer methodologies.
Performance tuning on the server, database and query level.
Perform application code enhancements such as architecture, development, design, test and support.
Providing Security Models and auditing.
Communicate status of issues with responsible parties and NOC Management in writing and verbally Contribute to a positive and cohesive team with a can-do attitude Perform other duties as assigned
 
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
 
§  Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field§  Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT§  Minimum of 7 Years of working with distributed database applications on corporate level enterprise systems as a database administrator§  Ability to provide solutions to day-to-day production issues§  Experience with database architecture design and strategies for N-Tier applications.§  Ability to work as a team player in a corporate environment.§  Excellent verbal\written communication and collaboration skills.§  Experience in supporting SAP applications using Microsoft SQL Server a PLUS§  Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Integration Services and Database Mirroring.§  Ability to program for MS SQL Server 2005 CLR§  Knowledge in C#.net programming§  Disaster recovery design and implementation a PLUS§  Experience with Data Ware Housing a PLUS
