JBOSS/Java Needed
Location: Madison, WI
Duration: 6 month plus
Candidates must have at least 3 years working in a JBoss environment and must have excellent communication. This hiring manager will hire off of a phone interview. We have several people on this team already.
This is a requisition for a strong and experienced Middleware Operations Consultant that can work independently, and be accountable and productive. This individual will start immediately and be managing several third party applications and application servers.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Installation and maintenance of third party applications in our production and development environments.
- Platform upgrades.
- Administration of JBOSS application servers in our production and development environments.
- Administration of ssl certificates in our production and development environments.
- Administration of authentication and authorization realms for third party applications in our production and development environments.
Required Qualifications - Technical:
· Unix/Linux scripting
· JVM configuration and monitoring
· Administration and support experience with Java and J2EE framework
· Strong troubleshooting skills
Desired Qualifications - Technical:
· JBOSS Administration
· Perl scripting
· Unix/Linux Administration
· JVM garbage collection tuning
· Active Directory
Qualifications Non-Technical:
· Ability to learn and adapt to a fast paced changing, and challenging environment.
· Good project and time management skills.
· Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
· Candidates should be able to demonstrate the ability to work under pressure when necessary, especially when recovering from system failure or strict timelines. As well as being a very self-motivated, self-directed Team Player.

Minimum 5 years of experience on required skills.
