Linux Administrator with AIX

Term:  6 months on contract

Location: Memphis, TN

Position Requirements:

*    7+ years experience

*    Linux Red Hat

*    Current, hands-on AIX and IBM pSeries/PowerVM experience

*    Linux System Administration experience (preferably with RHEL/CentOS Linux)

 

Plus Skills

* Blade Technology

* Veritas Clustering

* TSM

* LPAR Mo

* Migration P5-P7

* Working in a large server environment

 

 

Responsibilities Include:

*    Configure, deploy, and maintain IBM Power7/pSeries systems utilizing PowerVM.

*    Configure, deploy, test and troubleshoot servers in an Enterprise environment

*    Address user requests via ticketing system

*    Highly motivated team player with an ability to lead

*    Creation of team process/procedural documentation

 

Experience should include some of the following:

*    General Scripting: Shell and Perl

*    DNS, DHCP and NIS

*    Understanding of SAN and server side storage management

*    Understanding of automated system builds with DHCP/PXE/Kickstart/NIM

*    Good understanding of backup and recovery processes and methods

*    Participation in on-call rotation
