This job requires advanced SQL 2005 skills. The accepted resource must show a thorough competency in creating complex SQL script, be comfortable working in a team environment, yet also be able to work independently. 4 years of experience writing scripts in SQL 2005 required. Experience using COGNOS or SAS is a plus. This position is really a Data Base Developer -

 

Description/Comment:Create Data warehouse to store data sets and support incoming data requests from users.
Create DTS (SQL 2000) and SSIS Packages (SQL 2005) to transfer data from other environments.
Write advanced SQL Queries to pull data from highly normalized data structures based on business requirements.
Write technical requirements, specifications, and other documentation on process.
Analyze and test data for inconsistencies, completeness, and integrity.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in computer programming or relevant field - preferred.
4+ years experience using SQL 2005 required.
Skills and Competencies: Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills. Must have a strong command of the English language - written and oral. Basic ability to work independently and manage one's time. Advanced SQL writing skills. Must show proficiency in data structures and database concepts. Major Job Duties and Responsibilities: programs or databases, correct errors and make necessary modifications. Modify existing databases and database management systems. Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system.
