- Working knowledge of Linux

Day-to-Day

Insight Global is looking for a QA/Test Engineer with 2 - 3 years of experience doing end to end testing. The ideal candidate demonstrates an aptitude and appetite for learning new technologies, collaborating with a team, and understanding cloud technologies. The perfect candidate is familiar with voice protocols, and data networking technologies, CUCM, and IP internetworking. Automated testing is preferred. The developers on the team will work very closely with the QA engineers as they design and web applications for major service providers.

 

- Develop and contribute to the test strategy, test plans and test execution for multiple development projects; plan and configure the test beds. Projects may include functional, system level and performance testing.

- Design and write test cases reflecting the documented design plans.

- Execute test cases per test plan - collecting data on faults and reporting to the appropriate design team.

- Support the design team in debugging issues; isolate root cause of issues and partner with design/development team on resolution.

- Plan regression strategy and complete automated regression scripts per test plan.

- Assist with maintenance of test networks and physical/hardware test environment

- Certify software releases for general availability to customers.

- Ensure sufficient negative test coverage in product test plans.

- Implement product and regression test strategy.

- Lead and participate in the development of test automation.
