Share Point Developer/Architect/Admin

Total Positions: 3

Location –  Chicago, IL 

Duration – 12  months plus

Job Description:

·         Provide the day to day administration, support, maintenance and monitoring of the MicrosoftSharePoint infrastructure (SharePoint Web Servers, Application Servers, SQL 2008 database clustered servers). Including the analysis, installation and support of patches, upgrades and performance enhancements for the SharePoint infrastructure. Manage and design site collections, implement web part pages and site features, security policies, user account management, provisioning new sites, and problem resolution.
Develop, implement, and maintain documentation and plans for a highly available and recoverable collaboration environment through built-in SharePoint backup/recovery technologies, SQL Server 2008 backup/recovery/maintenance tools, or vendor third-party tools. Plan and implement Disaster Recovery strategies and participate in annual Disaster Recovery testing.

·         Provide direction for developers to help integrate applications and solutions into the SharePointEnvironment including deploying custom applications and site definitions as well as maintaining and supporting SharePoint integration with ADFS 2.0

·         Meet with business departments to provide solutions and assist in the architect development to meet their business and end-user needs.

·         Provide end-user support by utilizing interpersonal skills to communicate with and instruct end-users on SharePoint products and technologies. This includes on-call rotation for business critical Sharepoint applications.

·         Understands and demonstrates United Stationers' Core Values.

·         Participates in a weekly rotating 24/7 on call support role.

·         Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Skills/Knowledge Required:

·         Working knowledge of specialized field of SharePoint Server and Windows Server Technologies

·         Knowledge of ADFS preferred.

·         Fundamental knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook.

·         Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory  and Microsoft SQL Server

 

 

Education and Experience:

·         Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science preferred.

·         Minimum three years of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 experience required.

·         Minimum three years of Microsoft Server Platforms experience required.

·         Minimum of three years of InfoPath, SharePoint Workflow Foundation experience required.

·         Minimum of six years of IT professional/Technical experience with Microsoft Technologies.
