Mid-level C# WCF Developer is required for this role.
Key Accountabilities:
- Evaluates, plans, designs, and implements software development projects for new applications and products, as well as enhancements to and maintenance of existing applications and products
- Ensures that software products meet business goals and objectives, fulfill end-user requirements, and are delivered within specified budget guidelines and timetables
- Plays key role in determining development strategy and methodologies
- Partners with Project Management, Architecture, and Test organizations to ensure successful product development and delivery
- Ensures seamless integration of new applications or enhancements to existing systems
- Reviews and approves technical design documents
- Participates in code/peer reviews
- Cultivates, shares and deploys best practices and emerging methodologies in software development
- Develops with internal, external, and offshore resources
· Identifies, recommends and implements changes to streamline and improve the development process and improve productivity
Essential Qualifications:
- Four-year college degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline
- Minimum of 8 years' software development experience
- Demonstrated experience working with Agile Development methodologies
- Advanced proficiency in wide range of programming languages, modeling, and Object Oriented Analysis, Design, and Programming concepts
- Knowledge of project-specific tools, including: C# programming languages and Microsoft .NET architecture, J2EE and WCF
- Experience developing applications on Windows and Linux Server environments
- Ability to develop quick proof of concepts
- Experience with messaging services
- Experience with SOAP web services, SOA and ESB
- Strong knowledge of network and PC operating systems, and network hardware, protocols, and standards
- Knowledge of release processes and build technologies
- Demonstrated ability to work with complex architecture and end-to-end systems
- Specialized domain or industry expertise and/or knowledge of multiple domains
- Superior analytical and creative problem-solving skills
- Excellent understanding of organizational goals and objectives
- Demonstrated skill in balancing multiple tasks and going beyond required duties to achieve team goals
- Working knowledge of software quality assurance and testing
- Strong written and oral communication skills in both technical and non-technical languages
- Experience working with and presenting to senior leaders
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related technical discipline or equivalent
- Expertise in multiple domains
- Experience in software quality assurance and testing
- Demonstrated innovation and creative problem-solving
- Experience in requirements solicitation, definition, and modeling
