Required Skills:
· Hands on Architect profile with 10 plus year of experience in Java / J2EE.
· Hands on experience in designing / architecting large scale applications.
· Experience in the entire software development life cycle from requirements to production deploy
· Can visualize system end to end.
· Strong in Core Java, JDK 1.6
· Good in Data structures and Algorithms
· Design skills (have good exposure on design patterns)
· JDBC, EJB3
· Good knowledge of XML / parsers
· Good understanding of protocol stack
· Good knowledge on Software Security implementation
· Good understanding of Web services, preferred Rest
· Ant, Maven
· JBOSS, Tomcat
· Basic unix exposure
· Good communication skills
· Good Leadership qualities.
· Can guide team on day to day issue resolution, review design, code and recommend them right implementation approach
· Product development background is preferable
Minimum Qualifications:
· BS in Computer Science or equivalent, 7+ years in client server technology development.
· Ideal if you have exposure to these technical languages/products: OOD, Java and J2EE (POJOs and Servlets), Spring, Tomcat 6.0, SOAP Stack (Apache Axis or Systinet), XSD, XML, XSLT, WSDLs, SQL and JDBC (Informix and DB2),Eclipse, JUnit, Ant, Clearcase, JProbe.
· Must possess technical understanding of developing Enterprise Web Services specific applications in a Windows environment, deploy on HP-Unix;
· Some back ground in production support and management of problems and resolving issues is desired.
· Proficiency in writing code, comments, and unit testing;
· Proficiency in writing and maintaining application frameworks such as Spring.
· Experience with distributed systems (HTTP, SSL, Networking, Muli-tier environment) and experience with host data access protocols (e.g., MQ, DB2 connect) is desired.
· Proficiency with analyzing memory issues, garbage collection, CPU and performance issues.
Preferred Skills:
· Should possess strong analytical and problem solving skills
· Must be a quick thinker, learner, go-doer who can independently resolve problems with less direction. Good leadership skills.
· A good team player who can collaborate and work closely with multiple functional groups.
· Must have strong and effective communication skills, and ability to multi-task and work under stringent timelines within a strong, high energy team environment.
· Familiarity with the APS application environment, messages and framework is a huge plus.
Title: Java Developer with Webservices.
Duration: 18 months
Location: SFO CA / Detroit MI
Max Rate: $ 45 C2C
24 x 7 support of our Production environment and Release Lead duties will be required on a rotational basis.
Basic Requirements
· B.S. degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a closely related field
· Experience writing commercially-deployed software using an object-oriented programming language
· 5+ years' application development and implementation experience.
Minimum Requirements
· Proven strong coding expertise in Java, Perl
· Command knowledge of Java Web Services (sender and receiver)
· Working knowledge of Tomcat
· Hands on working experience with Java, J2EE, JDBC, Spring, Spring-WS, Oracle database, SQL, UNIX shell scripting (PERL), JMS, JUnit, and Autosys with 5+ years of experience in building large and complex systems
· Experience writing SQL queries in a high volume OLTP environment
· Work experience in messaging/notifications applications and other web services/interfacing systems
· Experience in troubleshooting/debugging and tuning performance issues using tools like Introscope and Memory Analyzer
· Experience in working with onshore and offshore resources as part of the team
· Demonstrated understanding of software version control and experience in working with version control tools including Clearcase or Subversion and Clearquest/UCM
· Ability to demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate through oral and written communication skills
· Demonstrated strong sense of ownership for products
· Demonstrated ability to work independently with skills to lead and direct technical challenges
Preferred Skills
· Familiarity with Maven and Ant build systems
· Passion for mentoring peers and less experienced developers
· Financial industry experience
· Role model as team player
· Experience with Java Mail and SMTP is a plus
