PHP Developer

Ashburn, VA

6+ Month Contract

 

Note: Candidates should be local to VA due to F2F Interview

 

Education/Experience: Bachelors degree in computer science, software engineering or relevant field required. 4+ years experience required in web site development.

 

 

Skills and Competencies: PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, Javascript, JQuery. Familiar with optimization techniques, standards, cross-platform/cross-browser solutions and manual coding of HTML, CSS & Javascript. Strong experience maintaining and extending large-scale Content Management Systems for websites. Must be comfortable in a Unix environment with strong Unix shell experience. Experience working with third-party APIs via XML and JSON. Must have experience with version control software (CVS, SVN, GIT). Good understanding of web site backend environments, including web servers, scalability concepts and basic security measures. Familiarity with PSD to HTML layout conversion, a plus. Experience with PHP Frameworks (Kohana, CakePHP, CodeIgniter), a plus.
