Position: Sr. Test Analyst - Functional Testing 

Location: Jersey City, NJ

Duration: 6 Months

Rate: $50-/hr

Duration: 

• Responsibilities:

•

• Understand business context, analyze business requirements, functional specifications and detail design documents

• Create detailed test cases with complete coverage of business processes and component level functionalities 

• Execute detailed test cases and document test results 

• Verify test execution results and update traceability matrix

• Document defects with detailed descriptions and supporting information

• Participate in defect triage and assist in root cause analysis of defects

• Report SIT progress to test manager and project team

• Assist test manager with the creation of status reports

• Escalate issues to test manager as appropriate

• Provide input to test manager and project team to support quality-related decision-making in projects

•

• Required Skills and Experience:

•

• Proven experience in carrying out the responsibilities listed above

• Strong knowledge of testing and test management principles and techniques

• Minimum five years of experience in creating and executing test cases for complex business applications, preferably in the financial domain.

• Experience with testing Oracle Financial Accounting Hub (FAH) and Oracle GL

• Strong Database knowledge – preferably with Oracle and DB2

• Strong SQL skills

• Good UNIX skills

• Experience with Batch Process Testing

• Experience in the testing of GUI-less back-end applications

• Experience with HP Quality Center

• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, particularly in a multi-cultural environment
