Position: Oracle PL/SQL developer who is willing to write automated scripts for testing and performs integration testing / A tester who was a developer (PL/SQL) in the past
Title: Integration Testing Engineer
Location: Chicago downtown
Interview Type: Phone and then FTF
The Integration Testing Test Engineer is responsible for the following:
· Play an active role in an agile team while writing and executing automated and manual tests
· Report significant defects to the team and test defects fixes
· Analyze test results and analyze defects prior to escalating to the development team for resolution
· Work closely with the development team to develop automated and manual testing strategies
Required Skills:
· Understand algorithms, statistics, logic (solving logic problems)
· Programming background required
· Strong level SQL and/or PL/SQL skills
· Be able to write stored procedures and write complex SQL queries for validating large data sets and complex math formulas
· Scripting ( shell, or python or ruby etc ) and test automation
· Ability to identify, design, implement and execute Use Cases, test scenarios and test cases (automated and manual)
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· 3-5 years of experience in a quality assurance team environment
· Understanding of Agile Methodology and other software development methodologies
· Software Development background is desirable
· Experience with test automation frameworks
· Experience testing 3D applications is a plus
· Experience in creating and maintaining automation tests
· Must possess a willingness and aptitude to embrace new ideas and master concepts rapidly
· Strong organizational and problem solving abilities
· Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills
ADDITIONAL SKILLS:
· SQL (REQUIRED): 6 + years
· Agile Development (NICE TO HAVE): 2 - 4 years
· C# (NICE TO HAVE 1 - 2 years
· Java (NICE TO HAVE): 1 - 2 years
· Oracle (NICE TO HAVE): 2 - 4 years
· XML (REQUIRED): 4 - 6 years
· A tester with software development background is a plus
· Must have experience implementing and maintaining automated scripts in both, commercial and non-commercial tools
· Solid understanding of testing methodologies and process is mandatory
