Title: Java Developer

Location: Raleigh, NC

Duration: 6 + months

This Software Engineer position is responsible for contributing to the technical design and development of the products that integrate with Teradata Relationship Manager. As a member of a cross-functional Agile feature team, tasks will consist of contributing to feature requirements, design and development of reusable components, defining best practices and mentoring team members. This position is expected to develop highly maintainable and scalable software components and collaborate with test engineers to ensure the highest quality product possible. 

The Ideal candidate will have a passion for the latest client side technologies, experience building "Best of Breed" dynamic web interfaces, and display an eagerness to decompose and solve difficult problems. 

Skills & Attributes: 
- Experience with developing java web applications using technologies like Struts, Spring, Hibernate 
- Experience with one or more JavaScript libraries or frameworks (such as ExtJS, Prototype, JQuery, GWT, Dojo) 
- Knowledge of industry standards for XHTML, CSS, JavaScript and web browsers 
- JavaScript skills using Ajax, JSON, CSS, and HTML 
- Proven experience in developing applications in an agile environment 
- Experience working with a continuous integration environment, using tools like svn, jira, pulse/teamcity 
Basic Qualifications 
- 5+ years experience with web application development in an agile organization 
- 5+ years developing browser-based Web 2.0 applications using client-side JavaScript with a server-side, Java-based template system (e.g. JSP) in a senior role. 
- 5+ years experience using Java web application development tools 
- Bachelor's Degree in Math, Computer Science or Engineering 

Other Assets 
- Development experience focused on integrations 
- Experience with Oracle or SQL Server 
- Knowledge of Teradata Database 
- Cross browser development practices 
- One or more client side testing tools (JSUnit, JSLint) 
- Firefox plugin or other web development tools (Firebug, shell, etc)
