Job Info: Candidates need to understand "continuous builds"—they need to be able to clean up what is already there. Utilize the "light system" to approve builds, etc. Nielsen operates using a mature agile methodology. They are a lean development, plus scrum with continues builds shop. There is a series of testing and once a day they run analytics for the builds.

 

Candidates will have (3) primary responsibilities as the GIS/Data Developer:

--Loading Data ETL

--Using JAVA to move data from one application to another

--Perform a data intensive/head down coding position

 

Top 3 Skills:

--JAVA or C#.Net (programming)

--Oracle Spatial

--Geospatial

 

Pluses:

--Agile/Scrum

--WebLogic

--OpenSource Tools
