Title: Java Architect

Location: Richmond, VA

Length: 12 Months+

 

 

For consideration, candidates must have experience as a Technical Lead in a multi-platform environment, Agile, financial systems, excellent communication skills,

 

Must have experience with: JAVA , JAX-WS, WebLogic 10.x, Web Services (WSDL, XML Schema), XML, SOA, FICO Blaze Knowledge (or other rules based rules engine) DB2 and SQL J

 

Preferred Skills: Internal knowledge of financial systems TSYS-TS2 knowledge, Proficient in DB2, SQL J Knowledge

 

Project team will be required to develop requirements, design solution, code solution, work with Quality Assurance team (QA) for testing, and Release Management team (RM) for rolling out solution to production.

Requirements work will include partnering with project intent provider, Associate BSA and other platform BSAs to understand business intent, develop business requirements, and partner with the technical leads in developing the system requirements

Design work will include developing a design based on the system requirements, consulting the Associate Technical Lead and third-party vendor designer to validate design.

Development work will include creation and/or modification of Java web services, Blaze rules, as well as other infrastructure related configuration changes.

Testing support will include partnering with the QA team during the testing of the deliverables

Release Management will provide support to release code to production

Project team will be required to deliver timely status and progress updates

Participation in morning status meetings

Conduct regular check-ins with Capital One stakeholders

Provide written documentation of status and progress

o Project team will be required to provide adequate documentation
