1. Position Title – QA Lead – CANDIDATE MUST HAVE STRONG BACKEND TESTING/DATA TESTING/ETL SKILLS. ALL CANDIDATES MUST BE WILLING TO DO AN IN PERSON INTERVIEW AFTER A PHONE SCREEN
2. Location: Lexington, MA
3. Duration: 6+ months – will be very long term
4. Rate: DOE

DUTIES / ACTIVITIES:
- Participate in the product life-cycle from design to release, following the Agile & Waterfall development methodologies.
- Experience with 'data' testing including great familiarity with the Oracle and SQL Server databases (and Netzza).
- Work with the core development engineers, middleware and the database teams to address product scalability, usability, reliability, functionality, and performance-related issues.
- Ability to write test plans and test cases and assign testing priorities to the test cases for test completeness and thoroughness in all QA cycles.
- Ability to manage and assign testing tasks to the QA resources, and meeting the QA timelines for different projects.
- Ability to review the QA test plans for manual and automated testing to verify the desired functionality through the user interface and the back end.
- Ability to multi task and assess the testing priorities for the projects that are either in QA or waiting to enter QA and complete the testing timelines.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 7+ years experience in Software QA, and a great understanding of the Testing methodologies and framework.
- Strong background with modern Web Frameworks and SQL (Oracle, and SQL Server) and data modeling testing.
- More than 3/4 years of hands on QA Lead experience:
- Working with the Project Managers, System Analysts, Developers, DBAs and QA to complete the testing.
- Allocating resources for different projects and assigning tasks to the QA testers.
- Managing the testing efforts for many concurrent projects in QA.
- Tracking the testing progress and Reporting to the management.
- Comprehensive understanding of QA methodologies and how to adapt them to the specific needs of our organization and products.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Agile Experience is highly desirable.
- Great experience with HP QC for managing the test cases and the testing cycles.
- Have some programming experience; Java preferred.
- Some experience with HP Load Runner for Performance Testing.
- Have experience with test automation frameworks like HP QTP, Selenium RC or Web Driver.
- Oracle Relational Database, Windows/Linux/Unix OS, and Unit Testing
