Job Title: Teradata DBA

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Duration: 6 Months+

Skills:

Candidate should have minimum 5 to 6 years of TERADATA DBA experience to handle the below responsibilities:

v Should have migration experience (from Sybase or DB2 or Oracle to Teradata)

v Should have very good experience in debugging different issues with LOAD and UNLOAD utilities (TPT, Fastload, Mulitload and Bteq) of TERADATA on different versions (V2R5, V2R6, V12, 13,13.10)

v Should have knowledge on Dual Active, Teradata Unity, Protegrity , Temporal,  Columnar, Viewpoint, and TMSM

v Must have an experience with different indexes (PI, SI, JI, AJIs, PPI (MLPPI, SLPPI)), backup tools and different strategies,  and node level utilities (CNS subsystem tools: Vproc manager, update space utility etc)

v Should have experience on DBMS upgrade

v Should have knowledge on Temporal, Protegrity and Columnar

v Familiarity and experience with 3GL languages commonly used to connect with Teradata (i.e. cliv2, .Net, ODBC, Java, JDBC, ODBC, etc.)

v Job monitoring , performance monitoring, and Workload Management

v Should have experience on Backup and restore/copy activities

v Handle load related issues like lock release, space issues, access issues via Viewpoint and node level

v Handle database connectivity, performance and other reporting issues

v User administration, Role management and Profile management and security settings

v Must have an experience of implementing Audit and Best Practices

v Query Tuning and performance optimization of queries

v Experience in running database maintenance utilities, like Vproc manager, update space utility, dbscontrol, rcvmanager etc

v Maintain DBQL, Res usage data and Capacity Planning

v Coordinates system maintenance with end users and Vendor

v Involve in Product support activities like installation of Teradata Client tools on Windows, and Linux servers

v Handles Physical Database Implementation and good at database concepts and modeling

v Experience in working on TD V13.10, TD V13.0 and V12.0

v Masters Certification is required
