Skills Needed:
At least 5 years testing experience including the following:
Test execution (Java preferred)
Creating test cases
Creating test procedures
Experience with Quality Center (Mercury Test Suite)
Experience (or at least familiar) with Caliber
Excellent communication skills (ability to effectively communicate between developers and BAAs)
Ability to troubleshoot and document detailed steps
Self-starter/learner
Additional skills that are a plus:
TeamForge
Test automation using Mercury Test Suite
Experience creating high level TSS (Test Scenario Specification)
NOTES FROM THE TEAM LEAD:
This is a classic tester position – nothing really unusual about it.
Java based web application (browser).
Mostly manual testing – first release of new projects. Test automation a big plus in QTP.
Caliber will be used for requirements management – some familiarity required at a minimum.
Oracle BPM experience for next phase is a plus.
Needs some basic leadership to be able to do transfer of knowledge. Excellent communication skills with developers and BAs.
Test case creation at first, then actual testing to follow – so initially it will be more test creation (prepping for next release).
Tests will be based on system requirements – will put them into Caliber – nothing to link yet.
Phased approach to testing – will engage a larger team.
This position is mostly user experience testing, but the application has heavy integration. Some troubleshooting experience for research purposes and documenting defects (steps to reproduce).
