Requirements Technical: · Hands on experience with the Hadoop ecosystem including Map-Reduce, HDFS, HBase, Pig, Hive. · Hands-on experience with at least 2 NoSQL databases · Hands on experience with Text Analytics · Experience in data extraction and data preparation for large data-sets · Working knowledge of SQL · Expertise in J2EE application development · Familiarity with Unix Shell scripting Other · 5 to 8 years overall experience in IT · Familiar with reporting / BI tools · Familiar with Visualization tools such as Tableau or Qlikview · Exposure to Predictive Analytics concepts and / or experience on projects involving Predictive Analytics · Ability to abstract concepts and explain them in terms that technical and semi-technical stakeholders can relate to · Used to working in and thriving in a collaborative team environment including virtual team members
Nice-to-have · Experience in projects involving text analytics, recommendation engines, scoring engines · Experience in working with business stakeholders
