Location: Boston , MA

Duration: 12+ months

Rate: $60/hr C2C

 

Responsibilities:

·         Devise a standard approach and best practice to create and maintain requirements and test scripts .

·         Support knowledge transfer and delivery training to Commonwealth resources .

·         Reports to the Project Manager and QA Lead .

·         Develops test scripts, test conditions, inputs test data and validates expected results

·         Assist the QA Lead and project teams to facilitate the completion of various test phases including System Integration, Simulated Production test, etc .

·         Execute test plans and scripts and document results using IBM’s Rational product suite .

·         Collaborate with developers to resolve software defects and incorrect test results

·         Support overall test schedules and test/retest activities

·         Record project problem and issues in accordance with the project's problem and issue management and reporting processes .

·         Work with the application team to resolve any issues that arise out of the testing process .

·         Validate product fixes .

·         Develop, update, and maintain testing standards and procedures .

·         Develop and produce metrics in support of the QA testing initiative .

 

Required Competencies:

·         At least 3 years’ experience in Requirements Gathering and Functional Testing

·         At least 2 years’ experience in Business Processes design

·         Demonstrated expertise in developing, scripting and executing under IBM’s Rational Jazz platform with tool suite (RRC, RTC, RQM and Rational Functional and Performance Tester) in a complex and distributed enterprise environment

·         Experience developing and executing test scripts using IBM Rational Functional Tester

·         Experience testing PeopleSoft 9 . x configuration, new functionality, patches, fixes and upgrades .

·         Functional knowledge of HR, Payroll and Time and Labor administration processes . Experience testing legacy systems and 3rd party vendor interfaces . PeopleSoft HRMS knowledge .

·         Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem solving skills (i . e . analysis, recreation) .

·         Excellent communications skills (oral and written), interpersonal, and organizational skills .

·         Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines .

·         Ability to design and implement Rational schemas to support configuration management policies

·         Act as subject matter expert for IBM Rational and Software Development lifecycle technologies

·         Function well in a collaborative team environment

·         Independent, self-starter

·         Ability to define user and functional requirements within a structured system development lifecycle methodology

·         Strong experience integrating IBM Rational support tools with each other and with other development tools .

·         Excellent oral and written communication skills

·         Strong analytical skills and methodical approach to problem solving
