Job opening for  "Sr.Net Developer" w/ WinForms

 

Location: NYC, NY

Interview Type: Phone/ F2F

·         Responsible for design, development, tests, implementation and documentation of high quality software applications using C# and related technologies.

·         Gathering and analyzing business requirements, and building appropriate solutions that work well within the existing information system.

·         Interact with commodity traders, marketers, risk managers and operations as well as members of the global commodities IT team in New York and Paris.

·         The successful candidate will possess excellent technical, communication, analytical and problem solving skills and demonstrate an understanding of financial instruments and products

·         Proficient in design, coding, testing and debugging enterprise applications

·         Proficient in developing software for Windows desktop using C# (.NET 3.5 and above), WCF and WinForms/WPF

·         Expertise in COM interop and improving windows application performance

·         Expertise in design patterns, object oriented design and development

·         Expertise in database programming including writing advanced SQL queries and stored procedures.

·         Experience developing Excel Addin or other API components

·         Sybase and/or MS SQL Server experience, Reporting Services

·         Messaging systems such as MSMQ or Tibco Rendezvous

·         Visual Basic 6, Visual C++, COM

·         VBA / Excel

·         TFS / Source Code Mgmt tools

·         Experience building industrial strength applications used globally

·         Agile software development practices

·         Good understanding of commodity derivatives instruments

·         8 years experience in all phases of enterprise application development

·         4 year Bachelors degree – computer science
