Business Analyst with Reinsurance exp
NYC

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Business Analysis
a. Collaborate closely with the business stakeholders to understand business needs,
processes and data sources.
b. Work with business to translate the business needs into clearly documented detailed
requirements and functional specifications.
c. Assess operational impact of technology changes.

2. Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required:
 2+ years of Insurance/Reinsurance industry experience, with a good understanding of the terminology, business functions and processes.
 2+ years of experience in business analysis, requirements definition, business architecture and process modeling.
 Profound experience in client-facing project engagements (2+ years)
 Experience working with and building relationships with internal stakeholders.
 Experience in working in a software technology projects with durations of 1+ years and valued at 500K+
 Experience with business case development.
 Experience working with technology staff
 Very strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
 Very strong interpersonal relationship, team-building, collaboration and facilitation skills.
 Very strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
 Personal time management skills and ability to meet individual and team deadlines.
 Seeks to expand knowledge and experience and is committed to continuous learning

Preferred:
 Knowledge of Agile development methodology
 Working knowledge of Microsoft-based infrastructure
