Job Title: Quality Assurance Engineer

Start Date: 7/8/2013

End Date: 12/31/2014

Location: Albany, NY, US

Max Hourly Rate: USD $(DOE)

 

Qualifications:

No. of positions: 2

 

Position Functions or Responsibilities:

·         To be 'Release Leads' and act as the point person on for a particular 'Code Drop'

·         Transforming requirements into Test Procedures

·         Directing and focusing the testing efforts

·         Logging defects from that test cycle into to the Defect Tracking Tool

·         Updating the Testing Documentation at the end of the cycle

·         Communicating any issues or risks back to the QA Lead (Manager).

·         Mentoring and directing Jr. Resources

skill sets:

·         3 – 7 yrs. of experience.

·         Strong skill set and experience in technical implementations and handling technical engagements

·         Strong Web Portal Experience

·         Commitment to exceptional client service.

·         Creative problem-solving ability and a consultancy mindset.

·         Dedication to accomplishing goals and challenges presented by clients and management.

·         Ability to interact with various levels of management and with clients.

·         Flexible, self-starter possessing intellectual curiosity.

·         Proven ability to take initiative to move daily work forward.

·         Good judgment in completing tasks and in seeking guidance when needed.

·         Ability to move projects forward within specific timeline while working at a detailed level.

·         Ability to operate in both a team situation and autonomously with minimal supervision.

·         Ability to work with large data sets with accurate results.

·         Excellent business writing skills.

·         Ability to recognize issues and identify solutions.

·         Strong skills in the areas of interpersonal communication, analysis, critical thinking, attention to detail, and multi-tasking.

Specific Responsibilities:

·         Assist in the development and implementation of business development strategy.

·         Assist in development of junior level staff.

·         Meet with clients regularly to update them on project status.

·         Identify opportunities to improve processes, operations and client services.

·         Development and supervision of internal and external documents such as procedural and operational manuals, formal testing artifacts, training, guides, handbooks, and formal correspondence.

·         Work closely with colleagues in other regional offices to share best practices.

Nice to Have:

·         Knowledge of current trends in K-12 Education highly desirable.

·         Public Sector experience is also desirable.
