Job Description:

ü This individual contributor role will be responsible for assisting in the design, development, implementation and 24x7 production support of United's Oracle databases.
ü Responsibilities include assisting in the planning, design, and implementation of databases; assisting in identifying, defining, and implementing database security and business continuity solutions; performance monitoring, tuning and troubleshooting.
ü This role will align with the Airport Operations or Enterprise Shared Services portfolios to deliver best-in-class databases to achieve business goals.
ü Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of databases (production and non-production), translate logical data models into physical designs.
ü Assist in optimizing the database environment with respect to data access methods, data integrity, system performance and system availability; ensure detailed physical design of data structures and databases comply with enterprise standards, guidelines, procedures, and processes and are successfully implemented.
ü Monitor query performance and provide recommendations for enhancements and implement configuration changes; develop and implement database backup and recovery plans and procedures; keep abreast of industry and technology trends. Implement monitoring procedures to maximize availability and performance of databases while meeting defined SLAs; database monitoring and performance tuning; implement performance improvements; investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve production database incidents
