Currently we are having an urgent opening with one of our client for Unix/Linux Admin role.

 

JOB Description:

 

Job Title: Unix/Linux Admin

 

Required Skill Set: Unix/Linux Admin, Tomcat, Apache and exp on java

 

Duration: 6 Months+

 

Work Location: Portland, OR

 

Rate: $50/hr MAX

 

Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role:

 

1.      The successful candidate will have more than 5 years of the experience in the IT support for SW development and have the following skills:

2.      Advanced knowledge of UNIX system administration on Linux and one or more platforms (AIX, HPUX, Solaris)

3.      Knowledge of Linux systems administration

4.      Knowledge of Web server software tools such as Apache Tomcat*, Java J2EE*, Microsoft IIS*,

5.      Knowledge of MS Windows Server* systems administration

6.      MS SQL Server* administration

7.      Demonstrated programming experience in UNIX shell, Perl and Visual Basic

8.      Clearly demonstrated technical documentation skills (requirements, test plans, procedures)

9.      Clearly demonstrated communication skills

10.  Working knowledge of networking concepts and infrastructure (TCP/IP, client/server architectures)

11.  Working knowledge of server virtualization
