Title : ETL Administrator
Location : Sunnyvale CA
Duration : 9 + Months
Detailed JD
Installation, configuration and upgrading of ETL server software and related products on UNIX platform ?
Evaluate various ETL tool features ?
Participate in job design and make sure that it is following the standards ?
Implement and maintain ETL security ? Perform job tuning and make sure that environment is optimally configured ?
Environment preparation and migrate different component of ETL tools ?
Maintain documentation and standards ?
Plan growth and changes (capacity planning) ?
Investigate complex ETL related issues and provide / suggest solution to team. ?
Knowledge of shell scripting to automate day to day operations ? Work as part of a team and provide support in shift ?
Perform general technical trouble shooting and give consultation to development team members ?
Interface with product vendor for technical support ?
Patch Management and Version Control Skills ?
Good understanding of the ETL tool and related utilities and tools ?
Good understanding of UNIX operating system and shell scripting ?
Good knowledge of installing, configuration and administrating ETL tool ?
Ability to perform both job tuning and monitoring ?
Knowledge of ALL backup and recovery scenarios ?
Good knowledge of ETL security management ?
Experience in code migration, ETL code change management and data management through the various stages of the development life cycle ?
A sound knowledge of both ETL and system performance tuning ? A ETL administrator should have sound communication skills with management, development teams and systems administrators? A candidate should have the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines ? Understanding of oracle database and reporting tool would be an added advantage
