 As the Unified Communications Avaya engineer you will apply subject matter knowledge and experience in the design and operation of communications platforms and applications including telephony, voice and unified messaging, presence, instant messaging, and audio/video/web conferencing.  You will work on complex problems/projects where analysis of situations or data requires an in depth evaluation of multiple factors.  You will provide expertise support and guidance to functional project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives.

 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

        Provide level 2 and 3 support and maintenance of the IPG Enterprise Voice Solution.

        Support and maintain Avaya deployments in multiple locations.

        Coordinate the provisioning and troubleshooting of voice circuits.

        Station level programming and MAC (Moves, Adds and Changes) on Avaya CM, Modular Messaging and System Manager.

 EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

        Experience with large scale or complex Avaya communication system architectures and implementations.

        Experience in Avaya Aura Session Manager and System Manager.

        Experience in Avaya Communication Manager and Modular Messaging with Exchange.

        Possess knowledge of communications protocols including SIP and H.323.

        Strong knowledge of Avaya Call Center functions, vectors, VDN, announcements and routing.

        Experience with the configuration and maintenance of Avaya VOIP Product Line; Avaya S8800, S8300, G700, G650, G350, G430 and G450.

        Integration to/with various communication platforms such as Microsoft, Cisco, Nortel, Avaya.

        Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, MPLS, QoS.

        Project management skills a must.

        Ability to work within a team environment.

        Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

        Microsoft OCS/Lync experience preferred but not required
