Title: .NET Developer (Strong VB.NET)
Location: Houston | TX (2 Positions ) FACE TO FACE After Telephonic
Start date: ASAP
Duration: 6+ Months
Responsibilities:
5-7 years of ASP.Net experience either with VB.NET or C#. The programming language will be VB.Net.
Knowledge of one of the three (AjaxControl Toolkit, JQuery or Javascripting)
Good understanding of ADO.NET
Knowledge of one of the two (LINQ to SQL or Entity Framework)
Should have working or reading knowledge on SQLDataSource or ObjectDataSource
Knowledge of CSS (strongly required)
SQL Server
Plusses
Knowledge of Request, Response, Session and HTTPContext
Knowledge of one of either WCF Web Services or classic Remoting
Day-to-Day
On a day to day basis, this person will be doing the development of an existing application for the framework for this large oil and gas company. They will be developing with ASP.Net and programming with VB.Net. They will be working with several team members to gather requirements from the users and enhance the application.
