PROJECT TITLE: Web Application development in C# and SQL Server
Location: Rancho Cordova, CA 95670
Duration: 10 Months
PROJECT MISSION/SCOPE:
Design and development of ASP.NET web applications in C# and SQL Server databases to design and develop case management applications and Administration support applications. Additional duties may include requirements writing, database design with SQL Server backend and developing reports using SQL reporting services.
ROLE DEFINITION:
This position will design and develop new programs written in ASP.NET, C# and SQL Server in Business Services Bureau. Support will include the testing and installation into production program and training appropriate staff. Additional functions may include providing production support in the form of analysis and repair when required. Position will work with customers in the analysis, design application systems, development and support of programs critical to the support of the department.
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:
Essential Knowledge:
Must be willing to follow established coding conventions, embrace rapid prototype and design techniques, and take technical direction
Solid experience as C#/.Net Developer
Solid experience with MS SQL Server and Transact SQL Stored Procedures
Experience with Visual Studio (2010/2012 preferred)
Experience with Team Foundation Server (TFS) is a plus
Experience working with Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) is a plus
Team Player with good communication skills
Essential Abilities:
The position requires a person who can communicate well, have a good computer science background, work under minimum supervision, who pays close attention to detail, who is able to follow standards and procedures, who can work under stressful conditions and who can work with others of a non-technical type.
DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS:
The desirable candidate will not only have C#, ASP.NET and SQL Server background, but will also be knowledgeable in Object Oriented Programming. Use of the IT Service Management application is a desirable, though not required, trait. Knowledge of Welfare systems, although again not required, is a very desirable trait.
