Description: We need a senior systems engineer who has hands on experience with the following Edifecs products: Xengine, ServiceManager, TransactionManager.
Ideally, the candidate will have experience installing these tools in conjunction with the WebSphere Application Server. Ideally, we want someone with this combo of product in healthcare and on the AIX OS platform but we can live without either if they don't have them .
The essence of the job will be to maintain existing installation, update them with paths and hotfixes Edifecs sends, configure new installations and environments, and create related how-to documentation for the client.
In addition, the client is looking for best practices know how and less reliance on Edifecs over time so they can become self-sufficient. It helps if the person understands functionally what it takes to build solutions using these tools especially in the HIPAA EDI space. Knowledge of Edifecs SpecBuilder is a plus but not mandatory. Think of this person as a system admin for Edifecs tools who also knows how to set them up from scratch.
