Job Description:
The lead open source web developer for Game On Sears Holdings Corporation will be responsible for technical leadership of a small team as well as "hands on" responsibilities. About 80% hands on, 20% code reviews and mentoring. The candidate should be capable of designing complex software applications on a whiteboard as well as in an IDE. This role will be primarily responsible for support of our highly complex product, secondarily, extending our platform with new development
Our product is focused on transforming vast volumes of Business Intelligence data into actionable direction for the people working in our physical Sears/Kmart/other stores. Our goal is to provide easy to understand and timely data which requires some really interesting technology to make happen.

Major Responsibilities:
Clean OO Python, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript from graphic design files and wireframes
Collaborate with design and development teams on large-scale projects as a subject-matter expert in application development
Ensures that all project-related tasks have been performed
Effectively applies Sears best practices methodology and enforces design standards as well as extending them
Ensures project documents are complete, current, and archived appropriately
Ability to research, prototype and recommend software solutions
Engage the project on an emotional level as well as technical
Must Have Requirements:
Minimum of 8 years development experience with the following technologies:
Python (minimum 5 years experience)
MySQL, or other mainstream RDMS
Object oriented software architecture
JQuery
HTML
CSS
2+ years small team leadership experience
Demonstrable success in building complex software solutions from idea through deployment
Significant experience with Django or other Python framework
Implementing memcached or MongoDB solutions in conjunction with an RDMS
Familar with HTML 5 and other emerging standards
Excellent working knowledge of SOAP & REST
Advanced understanding of relational database technologies such as stored procedures, query optimization, and so forth
Understands computer science design patterns
Familiar with Agile software development.
Comfort with maintaining a local web environment
Experience with Subversion or Git
Excellent verbal and written communication
