Position: System Architect

Location: Des Moines, IA

Duration: 12+ Months

 

Job Description:

Required Skills & Abilities:

·         Java and / or PL/SQL Development – 10 yrs,  Oracle 11g – 3 yr

·         Evaluation of java based systems – 10 yrs.  

·         Demonstrated initiative in delivery of well-structured and documented code

·         Code reviewing skills

·         Understands data models (packages, functions and stored procedures)

·         Unit testing skills

·         Good teamwork, communication, and organizational skills

·         Good documentation skills

·         Ability to work independently

·         Handles confidential information appropriately

·         Meets tight timelines

·         Attention to detail

·         Analytical with a strong work ethic

·         Problem solving skills

 

Desirables:

·         Experience with coding to specifications

·         Experience with government agency programs

·         Experience with systems engineering activities

·         Good communication skills and a customer service focus

·         Adheres to government agency standards and templates

·         Demonstrated ability to interface effectively and collaborate with peers, and project management to meet specifications

·         Critical thinking skills, ability to accurately analyze information to guide the development team to a decision

·         Initiative and accountability for achieving results
