1. Job Title: Sr. Portal Developer – candidates MUST have Oracle ADF

Client ideally would like Oracle ADF skills- but will take Java JSF person in lieu of
MUST HAVE strong SQL and PL SQL programming skills
Needs person to have worked way up through developer role and still be able to do back end development as well as the front end work.
Must be articulate and able to translate specs to others, communicate architectural components.

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
Design and develop at a senior level, custom portlets, custom applications, reusable frameworks and Shared Services Organization Applications and integration programs. Implement smaller Portal and other application's projects including interacting with users, designing solutions, developing, testing, documenting, and finally implementing the projects into Production environments. Provide the appropriate level of support expected from this level position to ensure the projects succeed. Mentor other junior developers in the team.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
· Assists with the redesign and maintenance of the Intranet and Internet by creating and maintaining applications (portals) to present content owned and directed by various groups and departments. Responsible for smaller projects and applications. Collaborate with a large number of users and other groups to deliver projects. This involves:
Ø Interact and communicate with users to determine and gather user requirements
Ø Document these requirements
Ø Design the solutions and build the system
Ø Test the system
Ø Support the system through Quality assessments
Ø Technical documentation of the application,
Ø Follow and build implementation procedures and documentation for applications
· Work as a contributing member of the team to ensure smooth working and efficient and quick delivery of applications, internet/intranet sites, and projects.
Ø Guide and mentor junior teammates acting as a resource with respect to the definition of development processes, methodologies and frameworks and other technical aspects of the projects and provides direction and assistance regarding working with users and the process and issues encountered with user interaction
Ø Ensure the distribution of knowledge for applications being designed and built within the team to ensure assigned jobs are completed accurately and according to schedule and that all deadlines are met.
Ø Ensure the design of sufficient documentation for easy and smooth hand-over of projects.
Ø Participate in the formulation and design of methodologies for the Intranet/Internet group.
Ø Ensure compliance with the established standards for the IT Dept., Shared Services Group and the Internet/Intranet Group.
· Collaborate with the Front-end/User interface group to deliver projects to the satisfaction of the client in a timely fashion.
· Maintains current knowledge of the latest and newest technologies in the areas of specific relevancy to the Intranet/Internet group for utilization as appropriate within the department. Identifies and researches enhancement options and process improvements making suggestions to senior managers as needed.
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or other associated disciplines.
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS
· 6 years of development with the specified technologies and toolsets – specifically relational database technology, transaction processing systems, and advanced modeling and design tools.
· 1 to 2 years of designing applications and integrating with other technologies and applications.
· Ability to architect simple and complex solutions related to integration with other applications and design.
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
o Ability to express complex technical concepts in a simple effective way both verbally and in written documentation.
o Ability to work well with varying types of people from different disciplines and varying degrees of technical expertise.
o Candidate should be able to gather accurate User requirements to design and develop correctly and efficiently to deliver to the user as per their expectations.
· Ability to present formally to users and customers during gathering requirements, workshops and feedback sessions.
· Key technologies and tools, the person will be required to work with, will include:
o Oracle Applications Server product suite, including, Database, Portal, OC4J, OID, APEX, Secure Search, Advanced Queuing, PDK, SSO, Forms, Reports, Business Intelligence, Web Center 2.0, Oracle ADF, Oracle Weblogic Server
o Excellent SQL / PL/SQL skills
o JEE/J2EE platform, Oracle ADF, Struts framework and Java Applications, Java Server Faces
o Unix, Shell scripting
o Programming in Java, C++
o Microsoft Windows and Products
o UML
o .Net framework (nice to have)
o JDeveloper, TOAD, Front end publishing tools and other related tools required to do the development
