Overview

Seeking a highly analytical focused individual to join our team as a Business Analysis (BA) focused on supporting Enterprise Quote to Cash for our Managed - IT Services.  The Business Analysts primary responsibilities will be to elicit, analyze, validate and document system and or operational requirements and workflows that will be used throughout EarthLink's SDLC. This Business Analyst will perform the role as a liaison and act as bridge between the business functional areas, key stakeholders and the IT solutions teams.

A background with previous experience in requirements management, development support and process improvement initiatives for an Enterprise Quote-to -Cash model is required. Background in requirements management throughout the entire Managed IT Services product portfolio such as Data Centers; Cloud Computing and Virtualization Services; Managed Security Services, Managed Support Services is desired.

Responsibilities

·         The Business Analyst is responsible for creation and management of the Business Requirements and Functional Document (BRFD) including requirements management and planning; requirements elicitation; requirements analysis and documentation; requirements communication; solution assessment and validation.

·         Critically evaluates information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.

·         Develops system requirements specifications according to standard templates, using natural language.

·         Proactively communicates and collaborate to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artifacts as needed: Business and Functional Requirements Document, Use Cases, GUI, Screen and Interface designs.

·         Serve as the conduit between the business operational units and the software development and testing teams.

·          Collaborates with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs within vision of Business goals

·         Works independently and in partnership of Program/Project managers, with the various business users to define concepts; elicit and document requirements within aggressive time constraints

Qualifications

·         Previous work experience in support of an Enterprise Quote- to-Cash or Concept- to- Market process models.

·         Prior work experience as a Business Analyst for Quote-to-Cash model or similar experience as a Project Manager; Process Analyst or a System Analyst may be considered.

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.

·         10 plus years' experience with leadership responsibility for requirements documentation utilizing  standard IT Business Analysts tool sets as defined by IIBA.

·         Experience in creation of Business and Functional Requirements Documents (BRFD) or Software Requirements Specifications (SRS) including such artifacts as Use Cases, Process Models and Context Diagrams or Agile Stories.

·         Experience with supporting requirements in various SDLC methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile is a plus

·         IIBA certification is desired or equivalent certifications in either ITIL; Six Sigma (Green Belt) or PMP certification may be considered

·         Strong understanding of Managed IT Services, IT Security, Networking, Systems and Cloud Computing & Virtualization

·         Experience with enterprise solution application tools such as : BMC Remedy;  CRM  and  Sales Automation front end tools such as SalesLogix is strongly desired

·         Sound understanding of Data Flow& Models such as BI  Business Objects with SQL reporting capabilities

Education

Minimum education - Bachelor's Degree or similar in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
