Job Title: SAP Basis/Net Weaver administration
Location: Harrisburg, PA
Duration: 3-6 Months Contract

Skill & Experience required:
Working knowledge of the installation and repackaging of the SAP GUI for Windows AND Business Explorer frontend applications Required 1 Years
Experience designing and developing Windows installation packages, and repackaging Windows applications Required 2 Years
Working knowledge of Windows, Windows registry, and Windows directory and file structures Required 2 Years
Knowledge in SAP Single Sign-On technology including Kerberos, LDAP, and SAP Logon Tickets Required 1 Years
Ability to research SAP Notes and submit SAP customer messages as necessary for corrective action Required 2 Years
Working knowledge of SAP Basis/NetWeaver administration transactions and processes Desired 2 Years
SAP Basis/NetWeaver administration in a mixed environment (*AIX & Windows) Desired 2 Years
Working technical knowledge of SAP Netweaver Desired 2 Years
An understanding of the SAP change transport process Desired 2 Years

Mid/Junior-level SAP Basis/NetWeaver administrator responsible for repackaging the SAP GUI and Business Explorer frontend tools for Windows, including related configuration and settings. Resource will also assist with administration, performance monitoring, configuration, and problem troubleshooting / resolution for SAP systems; including ECC, BW, LSO, SRM, Solutions Manager, MDM, and Enterprise Portal. Experience supporting SAP NetWeaver 7.xx, both AS ABAP and AS Java, is required.
Projects resource will participate in:
Development and testing of SAP GUI 7.30 and BEx 7 Windows installation package.
Daily operations of above listed systems.
• SAP Administration skills:
Ability to create software installation packages ready for deployment through Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).
Ability to create a software installation package to be deployed to workstations running various Windows releases, service packages, and 32-bit or 64-bit architectures.
Ability to troubleshoot software installation configuration issues on Windows desktops.
Provides technical support for technical operation of SAP component software.
Installs system updates (patches, notes, etc.) to the SAP component systems; as requested by business functional teams, and approved by management; or as required to correct problems.
Establishes and maintains connections between SAP component systems. Identifies and corrects problems with system connectivity.
Promotes (transports) configuration, customization, and program changes from the development environment, to the quality assurance, training, and production environments.
Configures and monitors various background (batch) jobs, including SAP housekeeping jobs, to ensure the correct operation of the systems.
Monitors operation, activity, and performance of SAP component systems, Oracle database, third party add-on products, and underlying operating systems (AIX and Windows). This is accomplished by monitoring system logs, operating system statistics, work processes, spools, background jobs, etc.
Consults and coordinates with Commonwealth management on all aspects of SAP systems operation.
Identifies and, when directed, corrects problems with SAP systems.
Works directly with SAP technical support to resolve functional and technical issues.
• SAP Experience:
A minimum of 2 years experience designing and developing Windows installation packages, and repackaging Windows applications.
Working knowledge of the installation and repacking of the SAP GUI for Windows and Business Explorer frontend applications is required.
Working knowledge of Windows, Windows registry, and Windows directory and file structures.
Minimum 2 years of SAP Basis/NetWeaver administration in a mixed environment (*AIX & Windows) is required.
Working technical knowledge of SAP Netweaver is required.
Ability to research SAP Notes and submit SAP customer messages as necessary for corrective action.
An understanding of the SAP change transport process.

Ability to accept direction and recommendations to ensure effective integration and coordination with existing applications.
• Knowledge transfer:
Written communication skills to adequately document work.
Oral communication skills to train staff and inform management of all implemented assignments.
