Job Title: Sr.C#/WPF/GUI Developer
Location: NYC, NY
Duration:  6 Months - 1 year Contract

Financial background is big plus.

Skills Required
-Professional development experience: 6+ years
-Communication: able to express ideas clearly and concisely
-Strong fundamentals (multithreading, .NET Framework & OO)
-Strong C# (.NET 3.5 or later)
-Strong WPF (2+ years)
-Capable SQL (Queries, sps, views, join, etc.; Sybase preferred)
-Comfortable with XML

Position Description Securitized Products Group (SPG) responsible for the
core technologies that enable Bond Traders to manage trades and positions, calculate P&L, and determine risk during the entire trading life-cycle.
This particular position, that of Senior GUI Developer, encompasses the following responsibilities:
• Working closely with Agency Traders and Strats to understand their requirements and needs.
• Providing support for the traders on trading and risk infrastructure issues.
• Working closely with the rest of the SPG to identify and employ strategies and solutions to best support the needs of the overall team.
• Designing and Implementing appropriate fundamentally sound solutions that take into account time to market as well as long term maintainability and stability.
To support these responsibilities, SPG team members must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
SPG team members must be able to function well as members of the team, by providing expertise and experience.
As well, SPG team members must be able to work collaboratively with other senior developers but also independently, with minimal supervision, meeting deadlines and commitments to the rest of the team, the SPG itself, as well as to the traders, our customers. As Developers, SPG team members must have a strong sense of dedication and willingness to take ownership of problems and issues. As Morgan Stanley employees, SPG team members will be expected to maintain the highest standards of professional conduct and practice.
