Job Description:
• Maintain and manage Oracle 10g RAC, 11g RAC, and Exadata databases.
• Perform, review, and debug SQL and PL/SQL programming, and SQL and PL/SQL tuning with development teams
• Perform database management tasks including database infrastructure design as requested, automation of data loads, performance tuning, space management, backup/recovery, and version control
• DBA level experience with UNIX and Linux administration specifically on Linux/Solaris platforms.
• Knowledge, expertise, and experience with Oracle 11gR2, Oracle Database Enterprise Edition (EE), Oracle Cache Fusion, Oracle Cluster Services, Oracle Automatic Storage Management (ASM), Oracle Client – JDBC/OCCI, Oracle Net, Oracle Data Guard (disaster recovery), RMAN, Oracle Enterprise Management utility (aka GRID Control, provides replication), Single Client Access Name (SCAN), Oracle RAC, on Linux platforms.
• Experience using administration, diagnostic and tuning capabilities of OEM.
• Provide creative thought leadership in database and associated technologies to drive new efficiencies and overcome existing limitations.
• Provide knowledge of database design and modeling
• Manage and perform all necessary data changes, DDL changes, and data refreshes of environments
• Support code migrations
• Support users, tune and troubleshoot data access applications and ad hoc queries
• Troubleshoot database problems and provide corrective action within an appropriate period of time
• Write ad-hoc queries based on schema knowledge for various reporting and development requirements
