Location: San Jose, CA
Duration: 6 -12 months
Role : APIx Operations & Support Lead
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Works with Project team members, business team, and infrastructure team on incident management, problem resolution and root cause analysis for supporting highly available production systems
* Ensures that all IT Operations system jobs execute properly
* Documents, escalates and follows-up on system problems when necessary
* Provides hands-on system administration, capacity management, infrastructure scaling and software installation support
* Utilizes knowledge and experience with existing systems to provide technical assistance to other IT staff
* Writes status reports as required
* Defines, implements and maintains operational documentation, procedures, and projects
* Ability to work in a global team with 24/7 operation of mission critical systems
Qualifications:
* B.S. Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or equivalent experience
* 5-10 years systems operations experience
* Technical hands-on experience in Red Hat Linux system administration is required
* Technical experience in virtualized environment with VMWARE ESX is required
* Technical knowledge of installation of OVF is preferred
* Experience developing and implementing processes and procedures
* Basic knowledge of task management techniques and team leadership preferred
* Experience in a lead role within an IT Operations Support team or equivalent leadership experience preferred
* eCommerce systems experience preferred
* Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills required
