Position: MS SQL Admin(DBA)
Location: TN Nashville

Job Description:

-          SQL Server 2000/2005/2008/2008 R2
-          Operating System knowledge on Windows 2003/2008 R2
-          Installation of all SQL Versions, SSRS, SSAS (Stand-alone and on MS Cluster)
-          Good Admin skills on all Version of SQL Server

o   Databases/Jobs/Maintenance Plans/Logins/Users/ Linked Servers/Alerts/Indexing
o   Capacity Management
o   User Management (Security)

-          Replication (Very Important)
-          Clustering (Microsoft, Knowledge on Veritas cluster is an advantage) (Very Important)
-          Migrations (2005/2008 to 2008 R2, SQL Patch Management, Database Migrations across Versions)
-          Good T-SQL Knowledge

o   Responsible for reviewing all Codes getting into Production, should be good at reviewing

§  Procedures
§  Triggers
§  Jobs
§  Functions
All these should be reviewed for Standards and from performance standpoint

 

-          Analyzing Perfmon/Profiler Traces
-          Analyzing Execution Plans
-          SQL Encryption
-          Basic Design/Troubleshooting knowledge on SSIS/SSRS

 Below Skill Sets will be an advantage:

-          Secondary Admin Skills on MySQL/Oracle
-          SSAS
