Skills / qualifications:
Minimum of 7-10 years of applicable experience in enterprise Data Warehousing, data quality, governance, ETL technology and data base leadership.
• Demonstrated experience building and managing complex and comprehensive data warehouse solutions in the Banking Sector.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, manage work activities, meet deadlines, develop project management reporting, manage direct and matrix resources.
• Able to maintain a high degree of customer / client / sponsor satisfaction while also maintaining necessary project controls.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong attention to detail
• Strong negotiation and mediation skills as well as an ability to be diplomatic in dealings with a variety of areas across the company.
Demonstrated ability to quickly understand business need at an executive level and be the key liaison between business and technology.
• Familiarity with database structures and data warehousing principles including strong knowledge of SQL with the ability to ETL both structured and unstructured data from various sources is required; experience with Hadoop a plus.
• Prefer background experience as a developer on a system or platform that facilitated rapid development of solutions and applications leveraging capabilities in descriptive analytics, predictive models, business rules, mathematical optimization as well as the management and monitoring of strategies and decisions.
• Prefer experience involving usage of DBMS, ETL/BI tools, SQL and manipulation of large datasets, SAS toolset, programming in Java, C and Shell scripting, Decision Engines (such as Blaze),
• Prefer exposure to R, Hadoop, Drools, Vertica, BI/ETL tools, Java Application Servers, Java frameworks, Rules platform and rules maintenance architectures, Performance testing.
