Title: MySQL Database Engineer

Pay Rate:  $55 Per Hour

Client: COX Communication

Location: Atlanta, GA

 

Skills:

•         MySQL skills including installation, configuration, database tuning, optimization, replication, backup & restore

•         Strong understanding of SQL

•         Linux experience, preferably RedHat

•         Scripting

•         Excellent team-player & communication skills, able to work with other teams to accomplish a project

•         Able to produce documentation for the project

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

•         Database architecture and administration

•         Work with Messaging Engineering team to put together a capable database installation that fulfills application requirements.

•         Tune database objects and SQL to ensure optimal performance

•         Establish regular backups of key data, both locally and to long-term storage, following an agreed backup strategy.

•         Document all installations and processes required to run the environments

•         Support ad-hoc data queries, extracts and updates for incident resolution and internal data analysis.
